My Personal Life

My name is Matt Arney. I was born, raised, and currently live in a small countryside town in Maryland, just an hour shy of Washington D.C.

My home is filled with my high school sweetheart (we’ve been married for 18 years now), our 3 wonderful kids, and me.

I love to spend time with my children (now aged 15, 11, and 9) and my beautiful wife, as well as pursue my own personal interests. I love to hunt, fish, coach youth baseball and basketball, and volunteer at church.

I’m also an AVID sports fan of all our local teams: the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Redskins, Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards and the University of Maryland Terrapins basketball and football teams.

Above all else, I’m a true fan of God. I believe he has a higher purpose for me and for all of us, and that’s what I constantly work towards.

My Professional Life

I graduated high school back in 1985. My first job was for the United States Department of Army working on a high profile program for the Director of Smoke & Obscurants.

After 9 years, I decided to leave and go back into the private industry as a Project Manager.

While I hated the idea of working for someone else and having to work so much, the project management position helped me in a LOT of ways. I learned how to network with high profile companies, build many successful teams, and got a generous salary.

That being said, I knew there had to be a way that I could still take the good parts from project management while spending more time with my family.

I stumbled across Network Marketing in 2004 and became hooked ever since.

In the beginning, it wasn’t easy. At ALL. I initially made the goal of leaving my job and having all of my income replaced by the passive income of a network marketing business.

In the first two years I started, I would jump from one leader’s advice to another’s. All the top leaders seemed to have something to say, and I was eager to try it at all.

I did everything they said. I’d prospect friends and strangers, make cold calls, post flyers, and hand out business cards.

I tried PPC only to spend more than I was making.

And at the end of the day, not only did I not see ANY results, but I’d have people laughing and joking about my ambitions.

At the end of the first few years, I lost a lot of lost money and pride. I was seriously re-evaluating my goals and wondering what I was doing.

Luckily it was around that time I stumbled upon MLM Lead System Pro. That program really helped me re-think things. They taught me how to generate leads for significantly less money than I was spending before, and in November 2008, I was successful in generating my first lead for a very low cost.

To the average person, that may be a little thing… but to me, it changed my world around. After all, if I could do it ONCE, I could do it HUNDREDS of times, right?

From there, I went back to PPC. I understood what I was doing now. With the help of Lead System Pro I was able to affiliate myself with around 20 contacts, and through that, I lowered my marketing costs significantly.

Things were MUCH better, but I still didn’t have the income to completely replace my job as a project manager.

Then I realized one HUGE thing.

The Big Epiphany That Changed Everything

The entire time – even through my initial work with MLM Lead System Pro (I still work with them now) – I was always thinking about how I could grow my own network.

It never occurred to me to work with other people and grow WITH them, and to merge our networks together to WIDEN them out.

So, I started working with people. I started coaching. And even in the beginning, before I had lots of sales, I had a lot of value to offer people.

I had been around network marketing for years. I knew exactly what WORKED and what DIDN’T. I could tell people who to trust, and who to stay away from. And I was willing – MORE than willing – to help anyone and everyone out as much as possible.

And I still am.

That’s one of the reasons I have this blog. I want to be able to impact a lot of people at once and offer as much value as possible.

Why I Feel Qualified To Help

Like I said, I’ve been around for a while.

I’m also a successful youth sports coach, so I know how to best present things, how to encourage people, and how to keep them motivated.

My coaching philosophy is pretty simple. People who learn from me must have fun. They must learn in ways that they can easily duplicate, and they must improve. Although I don’t go in with the idea that winning is my top priority, I have coached many children to league titles and championships.

I also have a strong corporate background as a group leader. I’ve developed project teams that have successfully managed upwards of $90,000,000 in complex and simultaneous worldwide material handling projects from contract receipt through final customer acceptance.

I have worked with such clients as Nike, Gap, QVC, DHL, USPS, UPS, Barnes & Noble, The Marmaxx Group, Random House, and The New York Public Library.

In ALL of these projects, I had to develop and manage multiple resource teams to execute everything that’s included in these kinds of jobs.

Through my hard work I was able to create a strong reputation in my organization and the material handling industry as a team leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

I tell you all of this to show you that I know how to teach. I know how to work with people, I know how to motivate, and I know how to inspire.

It’s through my fierce determination that I’m also currently partnered with 3 of the top income earners in one of the largest network marketing companies available today.

(I’m sure you can see how that’ll help, right? ;) )

By taking on this partnership, I have been able to learn a lot of the “behind the scenes” secrets of the Top Producers and find out what they do on a consistent basis to reach and maintain their status.

I’m also a contributing author to MLM Goldmine.

You Need To Know I’m Not Here To Recruit You, Though.

Like I said, for me, it’s all about growing together. And even if I get “nothing out of you”, it still makes me FEEL GOOD to be able to help.

I know that it isn’t fun – at all – to struggle.

I remember the common issues:

  1. Lack of training and support
  2. Lack of traffic and leads
  3. Lack of sales skills
  4. Lack of constant cash flow

I know that I can help with them. I can also show you how you can have an online business WITHOUT having to sell.

I’ll show you the basis of my system:

  1. A strong online marketing system
  2. The use of Web 2.0
  3. Attraction marketing techniques
  4. Automated sales funnels
  5. Team training & support

There are no secrets with me… no gimmicks, no lies, or no ulterior motives.

And I’ll be straight up with you – if you want to succeed, it’s going to take hard work.

But I think you can do it.

And in case you’re wondering - I charge NOTHING for any of the training I provide.

With that said, I invite you to comment on my blog, give me a call, or email me.

I’d really love to know what challenges you most regarding your business right now.

I’ll do my best to see if I can help.

My guess is, I can.

Much success,

Matt Arney
