How to Boost Traffic Through Articles

There are three ways to boost your traffic online: social bookmarking, video promotion, and article marketing. Of these three, article marketing is perhaps the most common since there are more SEO article writers than there are linkbuilders and video uploaders. Also, it is apparent that there are more words in the Internet than there are graphics or videos!

Since article marketing is the most common, here we give you the four steps in article marketing success:

1. Write an interesting and unique article. A New York Times writer once dubbed the Internet as a huge mound of trash. There’s some truth to that, actually. The Internet is filled with images, words, videos, and other applications, and the truth is that you don’t need 95% of it. The Internet is an invisible and infinite space, so people can upload anything and everything, like hanging something on a cloud. So if you want your written word to stand out, make it really unique and interesting. Your title should be designed to spark interest in your reader. Studies have shown that a web page fewer than ten seconds to catch a viewer’s attention. If you don’t catch the viewer’s attention in five seconds or so, then s/he will simply click the close window or transfer to the next window.

2. Bookmark the articles your wrote through a site like www.onlywire.com. Once you make the perfect article, your next job is to deliver it to where it’s supposed to end, so bookmark them and create common tags for your article so it’s easier them to appear during Google searches.

3. Promote your content! If the bookmarking and the tagging don’t seem to work or are taking too long to work, it’s time for you to explore other ways of marketing for your articles. You may create a video to promote your content, or you may comment on web sites that have similar content and offer help through your article. This is especially useful if your article is a “how-to” article or an educational/ informative article.

4. Submit your article to article directories. Article directories such as squidoo.com and articlesbase.com have a wide repertoire of articles that are classified into categories. People who search for information through certain topics may be easily led to these article directories since they are very visible when search engine run their searches.

3 Ways to Make Your Traffic Skyrocket

With the power of Internet and search engine optimization, it is no doubt the World Wide Web is truly a very powerful tool. A lot of companies have been built — and destroyed — because of the Internet. And since technological improvements will continue (and likely become more viral and addictive), more and more companies, individuals, and advocacies are seeking to find the best ways to boost traffic through the Internet.

There are three primary ways to make your traffic skyrocket. The first is social bookmarking. The next is through video promotions, and the last method is through article marketing.

Social bookmarking is the process of sharing, organizing, searching and managing bookmarks through resources found on the web. This is opposed to simple file sharing, in which it is the files alone that are shared. Social bookmarking shares only the bookmarks that reference the content.

Secondly, video promotions is, as the name implies, the method of creating and utilizing videos in order to promote a certain product, service, organization, advocacy, or whatever it is that needs promotion and marketing.

Lastly, article marketing works by creating your own articles, promoting them on the Internet, and then getting links through and from them. This kind of content is built by words only,so it should be very interesting, useful, and catchy in order to capture the viewer’s attention. Remember that studies show once a web page is visited, the viewer will decide in fewer than ten seconds whether he or she likes or dislikes that particular page. If they like what you see, then they will go further, browse longer, and may even consider whatever the content is suggesting (buy this, try that, see this, etc.). But if nothing catches their eye, then they will simply click the close button in the upper right corner.

Remember that all the links you scatter on the Internet should lead to where it’s supposed to lead. If the content is more specific, then the reader should be led to the specific page in your website and not just the home page all the time. Also, you can create versions of your content and submit them to different directories so you can more easily distribute your original content.

If you really put a lot of effort into these three avenues, you will eventually boost your traffic. The Internet is running on autopilot. and with the right techniques, tags, and content you will end up first on the Google results page.
